As does light. We know the perfect night's (or day) sleep requires darkness. That's why in society we heavily invest in blackout blinds, thick curtains and light blocking eye masks. It's for this same reason we've removed windows from guest rooms in Zedwell hotels.So in each and every Zedwell room, time doesn't control light. All our hotels are refurbished buildings. We have achieved up to 45% in carbon savings by renovating old structures. We have effectively avoided the high embodied and operational carbon emissions connected with new builds. Our refurbishments of neglected spaces- from unused offices to underground car parks -rely on natural materials to build furniture that is made on-site and bespoke to our properties. Our windowless rooms are highly energy efficient. The Zedwell Cocoons do not have windows by design. Our insulation technology ensures heat generated within the hotel is held within our walls for much longer. This means our hotels use less electrical energy for heating and cooling annually. We are committed to reducing waste. Our hotels offer refillable guest room toiletries and self-service stations to help reduce plastic consumption. We also offer a clean-on-request option to incentivize guests to participate in our Go Green Initiative, which only provides room cleanings every four days. This means less water, energy, and pollutants are used across our locations.

Cleaning Policies
At Zedwell, the well-being of our guests and respect for the environment are important to us. To incentivize guests to participate in our Go Green Initiative, we began offering a clean-on-request scheme. To reduce water, energy, and pollutants, your cocoons are given a full cleaning every four days. Clean towels and bedding can be collected at reception at any time. If you want your room cleaned during your stay with us, just let us know! Additional charges apply to compensate our cleaners and offset the environmental costs.
